Deep operator features that make the suite feel live

The complete suite is not just a set of static forms. It connects inbound processing, chatter, SMS Inbox, the systray indicator and the floating chat panel through Odoo's real-time bus flow, so operators see new SMS/MMS activity where they are already working.

Real-time sync

Inbound SMS events can refresh the open chatter record, update the SMS systray, and keep the floating inbox aligned with the same conversation state.

Desktop, sound and email alerts

The suite adds unread SMS visibility, browser sound/desktop notification support, and per-user inbound email notification rules by gateway number and template.

Floating chat inbox

Users can search inboxes, filter unread conversations, prepare replies, post internal notes, and keep working without leaving the current Odoo screen.

Bulk SMS Marketing is the campaign and SMS marketing layer for the suite. It is the right add-on when the customer needs reusable SMS templates, campaign reply matching, mailing contact enrichment, blaster history records and CRM follow-up from SMS campaign responses.

It intentionally remains an optional add-on because not every two-way SMS customer uses Odoo Marketing or mass mailing. Deployments using SMS Blaster will also need the core Corvus SMS stack because the blaster workflow depends on the suite-level messaging layers.

Gateway compatibility and provider responsibility

The SMS & MMS Messaging Suite is designed for configurable SMS/MMS gateway integration, including workflows commonly used with providers such as Twilio, Telnyx, LoopMessage, Vonage/Nexmo, MessageBird, Plivo, ClickSend, Sinch, Bandwidth, Infobip, Route Mobile, Textlocal and other HTTP/API-based providers.

Inbound SMS through Odoo IAP is not supported. SMS/MMS inbound messaging requires a provider that supports inbound webhooks/callbacks and a provider package configured with inbound capability, sender numbers, and available credits/balance.

There is absolutely no warranty that any custom gateway will work out of the box. Every provider has its own API format, webhook payload, authentication method, signature rules, media handling, country restrictions, sender-number behavior and delivery rules. Minor adjustments may be required before a custom gateway works correctly in a production database.

Corvus Nexus Technologies LTD is not an official partner, reseller or representative of any SMS/MMS provider and does not provide telecom carrier services, provider accounts, phone-number procurement, legal compliance advice, SMS/MMS delivery guarantees or provider-side support. Telnyx and LoopMessage have been tested for inbound SMS, outbound SMS, MMS and related media workflows. Other providers should be validated with controlled test traffic before go-live.

MMS inbound is also only supported through compatible third-party gateway configurations; it is not available via Odoo IAP MMS.

If a gateway is configured in a production environment, ensure the provider offers inbound callbacks, active package entitlements, and sufficient balance before go-live.

After buying the module, you can ask Corvus Nexus Technologies LTD to configure one specific gateway for your Odoo database at no additional charge. This setup assistance covers one gateway configuration attempt and does not include provider fees, custom gateway development, telecom compliance advice, production migration or guarantees from third-party networks.
