Sending an SMS blast is only half of the job. Replies need to stay attached to the campaign, operators need filters for replied/blocked/archived contacts, and marketing teams need reusable text with controlled variation.

Spintax and send safety

Advanced controls support message variation, unique variant attempts, throttling by SMS per minute and local delivery windows. These controls help teams avoid blasting every contact with identical timing and identical wording.

Gateway compatibility and provider responsibility

The SMS & MMS Messaging Suite supports configurable SMS/MMS gateway workflows commonly used with Twilio, Telnyx, LoopMessage, Vonage/Nexmo, MessageBird, Plivo, ClickSend, Sinch, Bandwidth, Infobip, Route Mobile, Textlocal and other HTTP/API providers.

There is absolutely no warranty that any custom gateway will work out of the box. Provider payloads, signatures, authentication, media handling and delivery rules vary. Minor adjustments may be required.

Important: SMS inbound for Bulk SMS Marketing is not supported through Odoo IAP. Inbound traffic requires a third-party gateway that explicitly supports inbound callbacks, compatible number setup, and an active package/balance.

MMS inbound is also only supported via third-party gateway configurations. Odoo IAP MMS does not cover this module’s inbound routing flow.

Frequently asked questions

Is SMS Blaster included in the core suite application?

It is an optional campaign layer that depends on the core Corvus suite and Odoo SMS Marketing/CRM.

Can one campaign use several mailing lists?

No. The module requires exactly one list so inbound replies and history have an unambiguous campaign owner.

Are unique spintax messages guaranteed?

Only while enough combinations exist. The module retries alternatives, but it cannot create more unique text than the template allows.

What does Convert to Lead preserve?

It reuses or creates a lead, transfers matching SMS chatter and durable history, links the contact, adds the Converted tag, and archives the campaign thread.

Does Delete erase campaign evidence?

No. In the campaign Inbox it archives the selected traces; durable message history is retained.
