• Complete margin policy. Set minimum margin percentage, minimum margin amount, and maximum line discount in one policy.
• Scoped precedence. Apply policy scopes across company, sales team, salesperson, customer, pricelist, product, category, and date.
• Three actions. Choose an informational warning, confirmation block, or manager approval for each policy.
• Consistent calculations. Evaluate the net line price against a documented cost basis after unit, currency, and discount normalization.

Configure the policy and review exceptions

Set up Margin & Discount Policies from Sales configuration and preview which policy wins for a quotation. Choose warning, blocking or approval behavior and the allowed approvers. Cost visibility remains role-controlled, so the salesperson can act on a violation without every user receiving restricted cost information.

Managers can print the Margin Exception PDF, analyze exceptions by team, customer, product or policy, and export approval history as CSV. The report explains the reviewed commercial impact; it is not an automatic pricing or commission engine.
